The Bristol Film Festival is brilliant. We posted a while back about their screening of Top Gun up at Aerospace Bristol and they’ve done it again with another classic being shown this weekend at The Bristol Museum & Art Gallery – the one and only Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Originally released all the way back in 1981, Raiders of the Lost Ark was the top-grossing film of the year and was nominated for a whopping eight Academy Awards. This was Harrison Ford’s first outing as archaeologist Indiana which was so popular he then went on to make two sequels – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984 and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989.
For anyone who hasn’t seen it, this is a real classic and is often hailed as one of the greatest movies of all time. And in true Bristol Film Festival spirit, this screening is being held in a pretty exceptional location with a “Nights at the Museum” theme. Enter the museum after hours (doors will open at 9.30pm) and your tickets will include access to the museum’s incredible exhibitions as well as live performances going on throughout too.
This is a one off event for this Friday 1st March and we think it sounds fab! Set to be filled with historical thrills, spills and a whole lot of snakes…get your tickets booked here today? 🙂
