Bristol’s very own SS Great Britain nominated for excellence award

VisitEngland, the official tourist board for all of England, has recently announced the 2016 finalists for its Awards for Excellence and we are extremely proud to say that Bristol’s SS Great Britain will find itself amongst those in the “Large visitor attraction of the year” category.

Established in 2009, VisitEngland works with businesses and attractions throughout the country in order to safeguard our national tourism sector and develop the visitor experiences that our tourist destinations are currently able to offer.

The Awards for Excellence pay tribute to businesses and individuals who champion best practice and exhibit excellence in customer service. The judging team has selected 80 finalists across 16 categories and winners will be announced during a ceremony held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool next Tuesday 8th March.

The Chief Executive of the SS Great Britain Trust has said: “We always aim to be an outstanding ambassador for the wonderful city of Bristol and we strive for excellence in everything we do, so to have these efforts recognised nationally is a tribute to the hard work and persistence of everybody who works here.”

We all know that Bristol is a fantastic city and this is some much deserved recognition for one of our most well known gems. Come on Bristol, we all have our fingers crossed!
