For those who will not make it to Glastonbury this week, fear not as Bristol has something special on for you too! From 22nd – 25th June, the harbourside will see the return of its famous Summer Series with a series of fantastic musical concerts lined up over the four days.
Shows will take place at the Lloyds Amphitheatre and the event itself is presented by Metropolis Music who are recognised as one of the UK’s leading independent concert and event promoters (some of the other events they are responsible for include the Summer Series at Somerset House, NME Awards shows and V Festival to name but a few…).
The line up is brilliant and will include the following acts:
British Solo Male Artist BRIT Award winner James Bay will be kicking things off with a bang on Wednesday 22nd June.
Sigur Rós will then join us for their first performance in Bristol for 9 years on Thursday 23rd.
Friday 24th will see an unbeatable start to the weekend with The Last Shadow Puppets, featuring Miles Kane (The Rascals) and Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and 2016 breakthrough act Catfish and the Bottlemen will take over for the finale on Saturday 25th.
Support acts will include JOSEPH, James Canty and multiple award winning Gaz Coombes too.
Bristol Summer Series is one of the biggest musical events the city has to offer over the summer and last year saw over 20,000 fans enjoy the fun.
Great music, great location and with a bit of luck, some sunshine too….time to dig out those dancing shoes!
