So Bristolians, we’ve had a busy couple of weeks partying between Glastonbury and the Bristol Summer Series that were on last week so I think that we must all now be in need of a little rest and relaxation…and where better to start that with some great food and drink?!
This weekend on 1st July, our celebrated St Nicholas Market will be open for the evening with all of our usual foodie favourites open until late (Pieminister, Eat A Pitta, Matina…etc) along with some amazing pop up stalls which will be put into place along Corn Street too offering dishes ranging from tea and crumpets to dumplings and even fresh sushi.
To add to what is already a fantastic outing within our very own city centre, keep an eye out for circus performers, live musicians and even top local DJs too who will be taking to the rooftops to provide a soundtrack for the evening.
The Night Market will take place on the first Friday of each month (except August) and is great news for those who aren’t able to make it during their usual weekday opening hours.
In addition to the Night Market on Friday, this Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd will then see the one and only Grillstock Festival return to the Harbourside for what will be their 11th festival since 2010.
Grillstock has become the UK’s biggest celebration of barbecue and music and includes quite a line up with headline appearances to be expected from The Fratellis, The Levellers, Cuban Brothers, The Stranglers…with many more too. And then of course there is the MEAT! Do not miss this year’s King of the Grill cook off competition along with food stalls from a huge number of producers including Grillstock (of course), London BBQ, French’s Street Food, Hays Smokehouse, Shredded Meat Co and Beefy Boys but to name a few. There are of course different types of food available throughout to suit all tastes (including vegetarian and dessert stalls also) so whatever you fancy you are in for a real treat!
