It’s time for Valley Fest…

Festival lovers get ready – Valley Fest is back and it’s time to head to the Chew Magna!

Just 10 miles from Bristol city centre, Valley Fest has become one of the best loved local festivals in the south west. Created when Luke the farmer teamed up with the folk at Yeo Valley, the event takes place on a wonderful organic farm overlooking the Chew Valley lake and the Somerset countryside beyond.

The festival raises money for several charities including Children’s Hospice South West, Above & Beyond, Send a Cow and The Good Will Cause and will run this year from Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th September. The idea behind the event is for people to appreciate their local farms, enjoy some fantastic fresh food and of course for lots and lots of dancing outside!

There are stages and themed areas throughout, along with pop up entertainment acts throughout the grounds. The festival is wonderfully family friendly and guarantees plenty of fun for everyone with free admission for little ones under 6 years and children’s workshops running over the whole weekend.

Headlining Valleyfest this year are the Stereo MC’s along with Craig Charles, Hannah Williams and the Blockheads. Other acts will include local favourites Bristol Young Guns, The Shimmer Band, award-winning folk singer and BBC radio star Emily Portman, Dutch masters of funked-up New Orleans sound Broken Brass Ensemble and Bristol favourites Sheelanagig.
