So, a few weeks back I came across Smith Webb, the most wonderful clothing company founded by two mums who support mental health and anti-bullying charities and I thought they were so brilliant that I’d tell you all a little about them…
Smith Webb are partnered with some incredible organisations including Anti-Bullying, Little Roo Neonatal Fund, Anna Freud, Cancer Research UK, CALM, Mind, The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group, the NSPCC and Cruse Bereavement Care and for every single item that they sell, one of the charities receives a part of the proceeds as a donation.
All of the clothing is organic, certified Fair Wear and their collection has been wonderfully named as “Kind Clothes” and I just thought the whole idea was amazing. I could have bought most of their collection but picked a cosy pink sweatshirt in aid of Anna Freud, a children’s mental health charity who have been developing and delivering pioneering care for over 60 years with resilience and wellbeing in children being promoted every day. The jumper is made with 100% organic cotton, has their signature “reassurance heart” embroidered onto the sleeve (a new addition to the collection with the symbol created to give reassurance during times of need) and I cannot tell you how much I completely LOVE IT!
So many good causes to choose from and a lovely way to help raise awareness for some really fantastic charities. Their website is excellent with an incredibly informative section for those in need as well as some great blog posts too. Make sure you visit here to snap up your favourite item and in the words of creators Chloe and Jo, “In a world where you can be anything, Be Kind”.
Smith Webb, we think that you are something quite special…
