A day in the race of a Lettings Manager at Sarah Kenny

When the alarm goes off, I reach bleary eyed for the iPhone to check what the day has in store for me.  Once I have had at least two cups of tea, I rush out the door to find the spotty Sarah Kenny car, thankfully due to the brightly coloured spots, it’s always quite easy to find and if I can’t find it, there is always a helpful child on their way to school having their photo taken by it.  After I have made charged my way through the traffic of my seven minute commute, I land in the office.  If the commute has lasted longer than my scheduled seven minutes, I know it must be Thursday as that’s when it is bin day and the streets of Clifton are filled with the local bin men blocking my path.
The day normally starts with replying to emails from Landlords and Tenants, either looking to rent out their properties, existing Landlords with queries or Tenants making sure that everything is fine for their imminent move.
Generally then the day is split up into meeting Landlords to undertake valuations, with a light smattering of viewings.  If I have arranged for works to be undertaken then I have to chase these up and make sure that everything is running smoothly in my well oiled plan of action.
As well as meeting new clients, I keep track of the latest goings on by checking LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and any other new snippets of information that may land in my path and need to be passed onto the team here or Landlords and Tenants.  My iPhone is a life saver here as I can easily keep on track of things should I be waiting if someone is running late or book in appointments when I am out and about, I really should be sponsored by Apple and Twitter, however, I don’t think that is going to happen!
Each day brings something new and unexpected, no matter, how organised I am, something that I market to myself as being ‘exciting or spontaneous’ even if it doesn’t always feel like that!
