Boat trips & cake at Beese’s tea rooms

Looking for something to do with the family before school starts again in a few weeks? Then look no further than Beese’s Tea Gardens.

Founded all the way back in 1846 by Mrs Beese, the tea rooms can be found alongside the river Avon near to the leafy riverbanks of St Anne’s and Conham River Park. Mrs Beese originally opened the tea rooms to provide refreshments to the many travellers using the Conham Ferry (the captain of which was Mr Beese). Since then they have become a much loved and peaceful haven for the city dwellers of Bristol who are looking for a relaxing break from the centre’s hustle and bustle.

Take a boat trip along the Feeder Canal to Beese’s (you can book these to include a tour of Bristol’s harbour also) and enjoy a traditional cream tea in the sunshine, a riverside Sunday roast or one of their delicious dishes from the grill.

Beese’s opens each year for spring and summer and cruises will run until the end of September. They have live music twice a month too and a beer festival each year which will run for the 11th time this year on 9th-10th September.

A river cruise in the sunshine and fab food?! We know where we’re going next weekend!
