As the light summer evenings get closer and closer, what better way could there possibly be to start your weekend than an evening cruise up to Beese’s Bar and Tea Gardens on the river?
Beese’s is set beside a lovely wooded stretch of the Avon and was founded back in 1864. Known for its cream teas, this gorgeous venue also has fantastic lunch and dinner menus and has become hugely popular for all manner of events including weddings, parties and even its own Beer, Cider and Music festival (this year returning for the 13th time).
Beese’s is a real hidden wonder and as if that wasn’t enough, this year they are offering a whole summer schedule of evening trips and live bands. Departures are every Friday at 6pm from Welsh Back in the city centre and started running on 30th March. Each week has a different band lined up and these will run right the way through until the end of September. Drinks are served on board whilst you mosey on over on the Bristol Ferry and your evening will include a live performance and a delicious supper too – all for the bargain price of just £20!
Full details of dates and bands can be found here – I’ve been dying to get to Beese’s forever and this makes me want to go even more!
