The Bristol Nightrider is back for 2017 and this year it’s bigger and better than ever! The event sees hundreds of cyclists take to our wonderful city’s streets overnight to raise funds for their chosen charities and this year there are two different distances available to participants – 50km and 100km.
Not for the faint hearted, the Nightrider courses attack several of the Bristol hills and cover some fairly busy road sections so participants need to be fairly confident riders but the event is a great challenge which is rewarded not only with a medal but a well-earned breakfast at the end of each track!
Partnered with an outstanding list of charities to include Alzheimer’s Society, Macmillan, CLIC Sargent, Great Western Air Ambulance, Muscular Dystrophy UK, The Grand Appeal (and many more!), Nightrider is not timed or competitive but is purely aimed and fundraising for good causes.
The event will take place on the evening of 1st July this summer and will begin at 10.30pm with competitors starting in waves until all bikes are on the road at 11.30pm. The course will take in several of Bristol’s sights (the Harbourside, Clifton Suspension Bridge and The Downs but to name a few) and promises a Saturday night like no other!
