Rough Guides is a leading travel publisher who, set up 1982, now publishes books covering more than 120 destinations across the globe. The company have become known for their “tell it like it is” attitude as well as their accurate, up-to-date content and general amazing knowledge of all things travel, so we are absolutely delighted to tell you that they have voted our very own Bristol as one of the world’s top ten cities to visit in 2017!
In November of last year we were voted fourth in the Inspiring Cities Ranking 2016 and editors of Rough Guides quoted last week that “Bristol stands as a shining example of one of the UK’s most forward-thinking, innovative and dynamic small cities.”
Our vibrant art, music and theatre scene have all been praised along with our creating and tech industries, nightlife, independent magazines…to name but a few!
We always knew that Bristol was a wonderful place to live and what a fabulous way for us to be able to let everybody else know.
Paris topped the list, with Isfahan in Iran second and Nairobi in Kenya third but we think that fourth place is something for us all to be extremely proud of here in the southwest!
