We all know that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to eateries in Bristol but every so often we’ll come across something a little bit special and Divino Deli on Worrall Road in Clifton is exactly that…
Having won awards for Bristol’s best deli three years in a row, owners Francesco and Francesca have created a little piece of Italy just off of Whiteladies Road and we just love it.
The team are the first thing which will stand out as they are just so lovely and friendly – it’s hard not to smile when you are greeted with such happiness! Everything they serve is authentically Italian – from the cheeses piled up in the fridges, meats hanging from hooks on the ceiling, a superb selection of fresh olives and salads and that’s without even beginning to mention the pastas, sauces, oils, vinegars, wine, chocolates and tasty treats galore to be found on the shelves too!
If you’re looking to cook up an Italian storm in your kitchen at home then this is one of the best places to go for ingredients. Similarly if you are after a nice lunch or somewhere to stop for a fabulous coffee then look no further – there are not many seats but they are well worth the wait with a lovely menu of freshly made sandwiches, paninis, soup, hot pasta dishes, arancini (they are EXCELLENT!) and pastries available daily. I have a real weak spot for their pistachio sfogliatelle which are an absolute must and just cannot recommend a visit enough if you have not already been.
Divino, you are an absolute delight and I’m looking forward to my next trip to see you already!
