Unless you have been living in a cave the past few months, you can’t fail to realise that Bristol was selected as the European Green Capital 2015. This is Bristol’s chance to shine internationally and put ourselves right in the spotlight. We are the first UK city to win this prestigious award.
Bristol was chosen for a variety of reasons.
1. We are energy efficient, Bristol uses less energy per household than any other UK city.
2. We are healthy and accessible, we have the highest cycling rates of any major UK city
3. Bristol is investing over £400m in transport infrastructure including a low emission metrobus system.
