If you’re a film lover looking for some Halloween fun over the next few days, then grab your popcorn and head down to one of the many spooky sessions going on across Bristol…
Throughout the week, the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton will be showing a selection of family friendly films to keep both kids and adults alike entertained during half term. Starting with ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’ today, the 1995 comedy-drama ‘Casper’ on Wednesday 30th and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ on Thursday 31st, there are films for both young and old to enjoy (click here for full details).
If the kids are out trick-or-treating and you are looking for something a little more on the scary side, then get yourself down to the Bristol Museum to watch the ‘The Conjuring’. To commence the opening of a new exhibition titled ‘Magic’ which celebrates all thing fiendish and bewitching, there is no better place to get your fair share of spooks, especially in the company of live actors and having a mooch around the museum after dark. For something a little bit lighter from the Bristol Film Festival, there will be screenings of the fabulous ‘Hocus Pocus’ and Roald Dahl’s ‘The Witches’ too.
Getting out and about more your cup of tea? Arnos Vale Cemetery are also hosting a wonderful activity morning for the younger members of the family. With a spooky (but not too spooky) Halloween walk around the grounds, this special ‘Stomping Stories’ walk with the Funnybones family is a perfect festive holiday activity.
All session times and ticket information can be found online but get in quick as screenings are selling out quickly! Get those creative outfits on and yourself down for some spine-tingling fun…HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
