As many of you I’m sure will know, this weekend just gone saw the end of what has been a SPECTACTULAR Gromit Unleashed trail for Bristol this summer. Over the past few months there have been 67 different sculptures dotted around the city and its surrounding areas and this year we have seen some of their best and most impressive creations yet!
Back in July when the trail started, an email went around our office here at SK challenging each of the team to take the best possible selfie we could with one of the sculptures, the winner to then be rewarded with a cake baked for them by our lovely Rebecca. Immediately there were a few of us who jumped onto the competition bandwagon but what started out as a selfie contest quickly turned into a brilliant race of who could see all of the sculptures first!
Now, myself (Laura), Hayley, Liz and our team baker Rebecca all went to see a few of the sculptures and got a few photos in along the way. Lydia and Maria however set out to cover the entire trail beat everybody in the office by a country mile! Our two champion Gromit hunters have had photos taken with every sculpture they have seen and were out hunting not only on weekends but during evenings and even lunch breaks too – some of the most impressive coverage of the trail I have ever seen with Maria only just pipping Lydia to the post in getting the last one! Two extremely worthy winners and I think it’s safe to say that we have all absolutely loved The Grand Appeal’s charity event this year.
Have fun looking through our favourite pics on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and the only question which now remains is – what type of cake are the winners going to choose?!
