Gromit is back for the summer folks! The Grand Appeal’s charity sculpture trail started yesterday and will be running this year until 2nd September – so you have three months to see as many as you can!
This year, Gromit will be joined by his best pal Wallace aswell as the criminal mastermind penguin that is Feathers McGraw. The trail will feature over 60 giant sculptures, all designed by high-profile artists and designers with lots of local talent included also. Amongst some of this year’s collaborators are huge names such as LEGO, Pixar Animation Studios, Dreamworks, PAW Patrol, Minions, Star Trek…the list just goes on! With lots of new sculptures created for 2018, this trail looks set to be a pretty spectacular one.
For those unfamiliar with The Grand Appeal, they are the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity and at the end of the Gromit Unleashed trail, each of the sculptures are taken to auction to help raise funds for the hospital (their first trail back in 2013 raised an incredible £2.3 million and they have continued to get bigger ever since).
