There aren’t many days in the year which are dedicated to all of the lovely mums out there and so Mother’s Day is a fantastic opportunity for a special treat.
Of course every lovely mum is different and we are spoilt for choice with great places across Bristol for a pretty bouquet of flowers, artisan chocolates, hampers made up of local produce, special vintage finds…and lots more! But if you’re looking for somewhere to go out or to take your Mum for this coming Mother’s Day, our wonderful city has plenty going on too…
Fancy an afternoon tea? Brunel’s SS Great Britain is offering a special Mother’s Day treat inside of their Dining Saloon. Tickets allow for the ship to be explored and then a classic Victorian afternoon tea finished off with a delicious Bellini.
If you’re after something a little more traditional, try the fabulous Berwick Lodge. Gorgeous food and a wander around their pretty gardens – the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
A special Sunday lunch? Restaurants across Bristol have created special Mother’s Day menus. A couple that are really worth a look include The Lido, The Pony & Trap and Clevedon Hall Estate where you can enjoy a lavish three course meal and a take home gift for all mums!
A day out with the children? Mums go free at the Wild Place Project! This is a lovely day out for all of the family with plenty of animals for everybody to see and lots of tasty treats available from their popular Courtyard Café.
Something a bit special? How about a balloon flight? We are all so used to seeing the wonderful hot air balloons crossing the skies above Bristol and now both Bailey Balloons and Bristol Balloons are offering champagne flight packages. A special gift for a very special person!
Lots to choose from and the weather so far is looking set to be dry. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the lovely mums out there…we wish you all a fantastic day!
