Penny Brohn UK is a superb Bristol based charity who specialises in a holistic approach to cancer. With over thirty five years of pioneering experience, they have developed what is known as the “Bristol Whole Life Approach” which believes in building resilience into every aspect of daily life and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and repair itself. They use this mind set to then help people find the strength they need to fight before, during and after treatment and offer truly outstanding help and support to everybody they deal with.
Based in Pill on the outskirts of Bristol, the charity was set up in 1979 and is now able to offer its wonderful services to patients in different locations across the country. As part of their fundraising, they organise different events throughout the year and Sunday 21st May will see the return of their comedy night hosted by Mark Olver, stand-up comedian and TV warm-up artist. The Have I Got News for You and 8 Out of 10 Cats star will perform alongside several other well-known comedians to raise funds for the charity and there will be a raffle on the night too.
Tickets are from just £12 each and doors open at 7.15pm. They say that laughter is good for the soul and with proceeds going to such a good cause, this is a great way to spend a Sunday night.
