From the 6th July 2015, Bristol will be home to 70 giant Shaun the Sheep sculptures. They will be found throughout the city until the 31st August. The London leg of the Shaun in the arts trail landed on the 28th March and will be there until the 25th May. This has a further 120 sheep grazing across the City. There will be a total of 190 different sculptures on display and there are lots of ways to get involved with the latest fund raising venture on behalf of Wallace and Gromits Children’s Charity and The Grand Appeal.
Simplest way is to download the official app – with all proceeds going to the charities.
If you visit the fundraising page you can download the official Shaun in the City fundraising pack.
You can always get involved with buying the merchandise, either online or visiting Wallace and Gromits shop at the Mall at Cribbs Causeway.
The finale will culminate in one of two ‘Great Sheep Round Up’ the first in Bristol, with all 120 being present, from the 12th to the 20th September, with giant queues if previous Gorilla and Gromit’s are anything to go by! Then they get rounded up to Covent Garden from the 24th to the 27th September.
Finally all sculptures will then go to auction on 8th October, with proceeds from the London sculptures benefiting Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity supporting children’s hospitals and hospices throughout the UK. All proceeds from the Bristol sculptures will benefit The Grand Appeal which funds pioneering medical equipment, facilities, and comforts for patients at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
