So, last weekend I went for a stroll around the village and I have to admit I tend to forget just how lovely The Clifton Arcade is.
Originally opened in 1878, the arcade is a beautiful Victorian building which houses a delightful array of small, independent boutiques. Open seven days a week, the arcade is a great place to pick up gifts and treats including handmade ceramics, vintage and designer jewellery, Georgian and Victorian collectables, some SUPERB once-loved clothes in Jemima Rose, paintings, contemporary artworks, retro furniture…and the list goes on! The newest member of the gang is Bristol Trading Post which opened on Saturday – they definitely attracted a crowd with free sweets being given away with every purchase and their lovely gift shop is a great new addition to Clifton.
And as if that wasn’t enough, on your way out you can pop into the oh so well loved Primrose Café for some fantastic food and drink to round off the day (Primrose is a village institution and their cake counter is an absolute MUST for anybody who has not visited yet!).
Looking for a nice afternoon out? Then pop on over to Clifton!
