In a few weeks time on Sunday 13th of May, four of us here at Sarah Kenny will be taking part in the Great Bristol 10k. We are all running for different causes and each signed up not knowing that the other three of us had done the same!
Our team is made up of our lovely receptionist Bridgette, myself (Laura, lettings manager), associate director Rebecca and the big boss himself, Peter. With less than a month to go and training well and truly underway, we thought we’d keep you all posted as to how things are coming along for us and first up this week is our favourite New Zealander…
Bridgette will be running her first 10k with Simplyhealth and is raising funds for Beat, the UK’s leading charity supporting people affected by eating disorders. She wants to raise awareness and help in getting more discussions started around mental health and body positivity so that people who suffer do not feel ashamed in any way and are able to get the support that they need.
Training is going well for her so far (in her own words, “considering I’m not an avid runner”) and she’s getting out to run once or twice a week. Her last training run was just over an hour and with a few weeks still to go her goal is to break the sixty minute mark on the day…GO BRIDGETTE! We know you can do it!
