The best things to do in Bristol at Christmas

With so much to do at this time of year, we have whittled down the best things to do locally with a festive theme.

At-Bristol’s Christmas Ice Rink in Millennium Square is open now until the 5th January.
The Square is turned into a large ice rink, situated under the At-Bristol 3D Planetarium. The rink will be open 10am to 8pm most days, and 10am to 6pm on Sundays. At-Bristol are collaborating with the Harbourside Christmas Market again this year so alongside ice skating, visitors can enjoy street food and stalls organised by Bristol artists and designers. There will be a live music stage in Anchor Square with mulled wine being served at the market bar.

Christmas at the Spiegeltent started in Bristol in 2012, the Spiegeltent itself is a pop up venue that travels the globe hosting parties and performances. The venue is steeped in history and constructed from rich mahogany and stained glass with an incredible draped ceiling. The venue will be based in Waterfront Square on Bristol Harbourside with a line-up of live music, cabaret and comedy; alongside events such as roller discos and markets. The venue has proved extremely popular with the people of Bristol, and this year will be running from 4th to 21st December.

If you fancy something a little different……..Santa’s on the Run is for you!
The annual 2k fancy dress run for Children’s Hospice South West is on 13th December. It starts at 1pm on December 13th in aid of Children’s Hospice South West. Hundreds of Santa’s will take part in this festive fun run around Bristol for the festive 2k run. Entry includes Santa suit, medal and festive treats.
