So we all know that Bristol is an amazingly environmentally friendly city. We have all kinds of wonderful schemes in place to help Mother Nature out in as many ways as we can and the recent wave of reusable coffee cups, free water refill stations…etc introduced to kick start a reduction in plastic waste here in the south west has been incredible.
At the very heart of keeping our beautiful city clean is Bristol Waste Company down on Albert Road who are 100% committed to helping all communities recycle more and throw away less and work very hard every day to achieve this. This weekend, raising funds for The Bristol ReUse Network, they will be holding their very first furniture resale #WasteNothing featuring a mixture of preloved, high quality tables (kitchen, coffee and side), chairs and stools, all manner of shelves, chests of drawers and lots of other storage solutions. None of the items are made of MDF and get this – everything is less than £40!
Running from 10.00am – 12.00pm, there will be lots on offer along with upcycling and repair sessions going on with the Maker Shed too. If you’re maybe not after furniture at the moment, they’ll have The Bristol Bike Project offering free safety checks and gear/brake tune ups to those biking in too – available on a first come first served basis only though so make sure you get there early.
A good cause for a Saturday folks and if you have just moved or will soon be moving into one of our wonderful properties, we hope to see you there!
